Charlie Rose interviews Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg tonight on his show. In the preview video above, he tried to get them to talk about what looks like a "flat out war" between Facebook, Google, Apple, and Amazon "for the future. " Zuckerberg says, "People like to talk about war. " While he admits there is competition, he doesn't think one company will "win all the stuff. " But then he can't help himself and makes a dig at Google, which is "trying to build their little version of Facebook. " In the full transcript of the interview below, Zuckerberg and Sandberg talk why they want to IPO (to attract and retain talent), social media's role on political revolutions ("overblown"), and how even at its current size Facebook is still "focused on doing one thing incredibly well. " Well into the interview, Zuckerberg talks about Steve Jobs and the quote in Walter Isaacson's biography about him: Mark Zuckerberg: There is this quote I think in the book that just came out about him where, I mean, it's – Charlie Rose: The Walter Isaacson book.

Charlie Rose should've asked Zuck, "What's with your Asian chick fetish? Tell us about Priscilla Chan and your dog? How good are your Chinese speaking skills? Did you meet with China's Premier during your visit in March and April 2011? " Charlie Rose should've reminded him that Google CEO Larry Page has supplanted Mark Zuckerberg as the Google+ user with the most fans. Those are just a few of the questions that Charlie Rose should've asked Zuck and Sheryl. BTW, Sheryl Sandberg is a real honey, and smart as a whip. Charlie Rose has always been overly courteous, somewhat hesistant to really ask the hard questions if it would pissoff a guest. The big issue with me has been Facebook's privacy violations, why it has gotten off clean without major fines or sanctions is quite amazing. Steve jobs charlie rose interview 2018
Charlie Rose has spent the latter half of this week with segments and interviews devoted to Steve Jobs. The video above features discussions with former Google CEO and current Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, Wall Street Journal reporter and friend of Jobs, Walt Mossberg, and Marc Andreessen, a venture capitalist and the creator of the Mosaic web browser and Netscape. The video is slightly under an hour and well worth watching for anyone interested in Steve Jobs and his legacy. This is the third episode of Charlie Rose in recent days to be devoted to Jobs, the first was a re-airing of a 1996 interview with Jobs about Pixar and the film Toy Story, and the second featured Steve Wozniak and Bob Iger – that video is yet to be posted online. Update: Video has been moved below to prevent auto-playing on the home page, our apologies.
